TRUE/FALSE FILM FESTIVAL
THE ASK
Design the cover, opener, and a three-spread feature page that shines light on the annual True/False Film Festival outdoor event. Create a doc matrix highlighting which films should be at the top of the public's watch list.
THE EXECUTION
Assigned to design a feature spread on an annual film festival during unprecedented times, it was only natural the design embodied the theme. Chose to focus on incorporating imperfect lines for image borders and headlines, symbolizing an unpredictable year. Created abstract collages highlighting the different ways moviegoers could enjoy films during a stay-at-home order.

THE EXECUTION
To allow the photography to shine, intentional white space was utilized as well as a quiet, whisper-like sans serif typeface with heavy tracking. Placed small squares next to each caption, indicating where the viewer's eyes should settle.
